When does TCM race at Mount Panorama?

THE GULF Western Oil Touring Car Masters Series will have to wait just a little longer for their return to competition at Mount Panorama.

Rather than racing at the Bathurst 1000 this weekend, TCM will instead feature at the inaugural Supercheap Auto Bathurst International across the November 11-13 weekend.

TCM will join a packed program that includes Supercheap Auto TCR Australia, Turtle Wax TransAm Series, Fanatec GT World Challenge Australia powered by AWS and Porsche Michelin Sprint Challenge, as well as Australian Production Cars and Sports Cars.

It’s a change from tradition for the category but one that could make for a better show.

TCM will tackle three 25-minute races – plus the Trophy Race – at the International weekend, meaning there’s a likelihood of more racing laps when the category returns to the Mountain.

Four races across the weekend will determine what will be the penultimate round of the season; Ryan Hansford and John Bowe split by a tiny margin at the top of the championship after a year-long arm wrestle

The Bathurst International will mark the 15th time TCM has raced on the Mountain, the series having visited twice in a shortened 2021 season.

Ryal Harris edged out Marcus Zukanovic and John Bowe to claim the 2021 season opener, while Bowe beat Ryan Hansford and Steven Johnson in December’s season finale’ to claim his record sixth TCM title.

Single day tickets for the event start at just $30 – all those details and purchasing options can be found here.

Live, ad-break free and on demand coverage on Stan Sport will be matched with free-to-air TV on the Saturday of the event too.
